Abstract  Abstract

A communications procedure comprising: operation (2004) of a first wireless terminal (102) capable of supporting peer-to-peer operations and cellular network operations, with said operation of a first wireless terminal (102) including: supervision ( 2010) of radiolocation signals of a base station (108) during a first set of time intervals that are radiolocation time intervals, said first set of time intervals being a set of radiolocation time intervals during which a plurality from different wireless terminals check the radiolocation signals, and peer-to-peer communications are suspended by the plurality of wireless terminals in a synchronized manner; during a second set of time intervals that do not overlap, said first set of time intervals participating (2012) in a peer-to-peer communications session; receiving a radiolocation directed to said wireless terminal during one of said first time intervals; and decision (2014) of whether to establish a link with the base station in response to radiolocation directed to the first wireless terminal or continue with a peer-to-peer communications session in progress, in which the decision is a function of at least one priority information communicated in the radiolocation signal.
