Abstract  Abstract

A method and an apparatus for transmitting ACK/NACK signal in mobile communication system are provided to improve the system performance by obtaining the diversity gain about the interference signal withdrawal. The OFDM symbol number for the control information transmission of the sub frame in which the ACK/NACK signal which the base station tries to transmit belongs is determined. According to the OFDM symbol number determined, in order that orthogonality is each other maintained with ACK/NACK signal of the CDM segment set within the resource set for the resource set for the ACK/NACK electrical transmission and ACK/NACK electrical transmission, the size of the CDM segment is settled. The mapped location is settled on the frequency domain in order that the frequency diversity gain is maximum. The ACK/NACK signal mapped in the CDM segment is repeated in the frequency domain with predetermined count.
