Abstract  Abstract

The invention claims device and method receiving symbol group. A method and apparatus in a mobile communication system for transmitting/receiving a Hybrid Automatic Repeat request (HARQ) Acknowledge/Negative acknowledge (ACK/NACK) signal. The invention distributing CDM segment for ACK/NACK signal is mapped in the frequency domain of an OFDM symbol and repeatedly transmits the CDM segment thereby providing diversity gain in the time-frequency domain. Further the present invention provides a mapping rule for distributing transmit power between OFDM symbols of the ACK/NACK signal is mapped and transmitted thereby preventing the situation of a particular OFDM symbol is power-overloaded thus contributing to improvement of the entire system performance.
