Abstract  Abstract

The invention relates to the field of communications, and discloses a method for accessing services implemented by a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) and the WTRU. The method comprises the following steps: performing a Service Capability Layer (SCL) discovery procedure for determining available Service Capability Layers (SCLs), wherein the SCL discovery procedure comprises: transmitting a domain name system based service discovery (DNS-SD) query to a DNS-SD machine to machine (M2M) service discovery function (MSDF) server, wherein the DNS-SD MSDF server is provided with an SCL discovery record; and receiving an SCL discovery record from the DNS-SD MSDF server in response to the DNS-SD query. The wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) includes means for performing the above-described method. Thereby, determining the available service capability layers SCLs is achieved.
