Abstract  Abstract

method and device for indicating a temporary block flow to which a recognition / non-recognition field is addressed, hitchhiking. a method and a device to indicate a temporary block flow to which a field, by ride, of recognition / non-recognition (pan) is addressed. a pan sequence (pcs) is created, for example, using encoding through cyclic redundancy check (crc). pcs is masked with a temporary flow identity (tfi) assigned to a tbf, or a mask generated based on tfi. a data block which includes the field for a masked psc is then processed for transmission. the mask can be generated by converting the tfi through the use of a code (m, n), m being no greater than the number of bits in pcs and n being the number of bits in tfl. with this scheme, a tfi can be transmitted in a pan field without using explicit bits to identify the tbf.
