Abstract
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a TFI to be transmitted in a PAN field without using explicit bits to identify a TBF.
SOLUTION: There is provided a method comprising: generating a PAN check sequence (PCS) based on a piggybacked acknowledgement/non-acknowledgement (PAN) field; masking a subset of PCS bits with a temporary flow identity (TFI) of a TBF to which the PAN field is addressed to generate a masked PCS; and generating a data block including a header a data part the PAN field and the masked PCS.
