Abstract  Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem indicated by a CCO-to-GERAN failure when a mobile terminal is in an E-UTRAN connected mode an ISR mode is an on and RA does not change.

SOLUTION: A radio terminal can communicate with different types of two radio access networks (RANs) (304 306). The radio terminal can register with first and second types of RANs at the same time and connect with either the first type or the second type by radio in a connection state. When the radio terminal is registered with both first and second RANs and connected with the first RAN by radio in the connection state the radio terminal receives a mobility signal indicating the second type of RAN via the first RAN and transmits an access trigger signal (417) triggered by the reception of the mobility signal and the registration with the first and second RANs. The access trigger signal indicates that the radio terminal should be connected with the second RAN in the connection state.
