Abstract  Abstract

Various embodiments include devices, methods, computer readable media, and system configurations for reference signal generation and resource allocation. In various embodiments, a wireless communication device is operated by a processor and includes a control module that causes a user equipment device (UE device) to transmit a reference signal (RS) parameter value specific to the UE device via a wireless communication interface. The parameter may be used by the eNB to generate a user equipment specific reference signal (“UE-RS”) for transmission to the UE device. The parameters are utilized by the UE device to identify the UE-RS and facilitate demodulation of multi-input multi-output communication. In various embodiments, the control module stores a priority rule in memory and a UE-RS resource assigned to another UE device based on the UE-RS resource and priority rule assigned to the UE device.
