Abstract  Abstract

The Invention relates to a method for transmitting media data. The method comprises the steps of: transmitting a request (21) from a user equipment (2) a control channel (18A) of an access network (4) to an application function (8) for specifying a set of encoding parameters (K) producing an encryption context (CC) dependent on the set of encoding parameters (K) by the application function (8) and transmitting the encryption context (CC) from the application function (8) to a media server (10) via a Control interface (17) of a core network (7). Subsequently encrypted Media data (27) using the encryption context (CC) by decrypts the media server (10) or unencrypted Media data (28) is encrypted so that an encrypted transmission of media data (27) takes place between the media server (10) and the subscriber device (2).The Invention relates also a network arrangement (1) and a computer program product the for execution are the method suitable.
