Abstract
The invention claims a method for transmitting media data comprising steps of transmitting a request (21) from a subscriber terminal (2) via a control channel (18A) of an access network (4) to an application function (8) for determining a set of encryption parameters (k); generating an encryption context (CC) by the application function (8) in accordance with the set of encryption parameters (k); and transmitting the encryption context (CC) from the application function (8) to a media server (10) via a control interface (17) of a core network (7). Either encrypted media data (27) are then deciphered or unencrypted media data (28) are encrypted by the media server (10) using the encryption context (CC) in such a way that an encrypted transmission of media data (27) is carried out between the media server (10) and the subscriber terminal (2). The invention also claims a network arrangement (1) and a computer programme product suitable for carrying out the method.
The invention relates to a method for transmitting media data. The method comprises the following steps: transmitting a request (21) from a subscriber terminal (2) via a control channel (18A) of an access network (4) to an application function (8) for determining a set of encoding parameters (k); generating an encoding context (CC) by the application function (8) in accordance with the set of encoding parameters (k); and transmitting the encoding context (CC) from the application function (8) to a media server (10) via a control interface (17) of a core network (7). Either encoded media data (27) are then decoded or unencoded media data (28) are encoded by the media server (10) using the encoding context (CC) in such a way that an encoded transmission of media data (27) is carried out between the media server (10) and the subscriber terminal (2). The invention also relates to a network arrangement (1) and a computer program product suitable for carrying out the method.
