Abstract
An instant message transmitting method and apparatus for IP multimedia subsystem. The method of the present invention comprises: after network received IMS instant message that calling user transmited to called user inquire the current register status of called user. If the called user hasnt registered in IMS network but the called user has registered the unregister service then transmitting the IMS instant message of calling user transmitted to one message application server. After the called user registered in the IMS network transmitting the stored IMS instant message to the called user; or transferring the IMS instant message to other format messge corresponding to the other network that the called user currently register. The apparatus of the present invention comprises: message receive module and message analyse module and message application server. The present invention ensures IMS message be transmitted to the called terminal by store and transfer mechanism of IMS message.
