Abstract
The invention publishes a method and a device for the transmission of IP multi-media subsystem instant messages including: the network receives the instant messages (IMS) sent by the calling user to the called user then it inquires the registry status of the user; if the called user is not currently registered to the IMS network but has signed on the unregistered operation the IMS sent by the calling user is transmitted to a message application server; when the called user is registered to the IMS network the stored IMS is retransmitted to the called user; or the IMS is transformed into another format of messages corresponding to the network the called user is currently registered to. The device includes: message receiving module message analyzing module and the message application server. The invention guarantees the successful transmission of the IMS to the called terminal by means of the IMS storage and retransmission system.
