Abstract  Abstract

1. A method of transmitting an acknowledgment signal of a hybrid automatic re-transmission request (HARQ-ACK) in a communication system, comprising the steps of: identifying transmission modes of at least two cells; receiving one or two transport blocks on a physical shared channel of a downlink (PDSCH) indicated by the corresponding Physical Downlink Control Channel (PDCCH) in one of the at least two cells; identifying at least one Physical Uplink Control Channel (PUCCH) resource; and transmitting at least one HARQ-ACK signal for said one or two transport blocks based on said at least one PUCCH resource, wherein said respective PDCCH comprises at least one control channel element (CCE), and wherein the first PUCCH resource of said at least at least one PUCCH resource is determined based on the first CCE n used to transmit said respective PDCCH and for a transmission mode that supports up to two transport blocks, and the second PUCCH resource from said at least one PUCCH resource is determined based on n + 1.2. The method according to claim 1, further comprising the step of: receiving one or two transport blocks on the PDSCH indicated by the corresponding PDCCH in another cell of said at least two cells. The method of claim 1, wherein said one cell of said at least two cells is the first cell. The method of claim 2, further comprising: identifying a third PUCCH resource and a fourth PUCCH resource for said other cell of said at least two cells. Sposo
