Abstract  Abstract

PURPOSE: A transmission diversity and multiplexing method for a HARQ-ACK signal in a communication system and an apparatus thereof are provided to transmit an acknowledgement signal to a base station by using transmission antenna diversity. CONSTITUTION: An UE(User Equipment) receives a DCI(Downlink Control Information) format from a second DL(Downlink) sub-frame(902). An nPUCCH(910) for HARQ-ACK signal transmission is determined from a first antenna having NACK/DTX, ACK(922), ACK, ACK(924), SNACK/DTX, and NACK(926) by using a corresponding first CCE(Control Channel Element). The UE receives the DCI format from a first DL sub-frame. An nPUCCH(940) for the HARQ-ACK signal transmission is determined from a second antenna having NACK/DTX, ACK(952), ACK,ACK(954), NACK/DTX, and NACK(956) by using the first CCE.
