Abstract  Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for transmitting an HARQ-ACK signal from a first UE antenna using a first resource associated with the reception of a first TB and for transmitting an HARQ-ACK signal from a second UE antenna using a second resource associated with the reception of a second TB.

SOLUTION: In response to the reception of a transport block transmitted from a base station there are disclosed a method and an apparatus for transmitting a confirmation signal associated with a hybrid automatic retransmission request process from user equipment through a control channel. The above UE selects one resource from a plurality of resources through the control channel and selects a signal point of a modulation scheme for the HARQ-ACK signal to transmit HARQ-ACK information. The transmission diversity is supported using an already available different control channel resource for the UE without setting an additional resource.
