Abstract  Abstract

Techniques for forming a signal for transmission to a receiver are described. The two transmitters may form resource blocks with different physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) demodulation reference signal (DMRS) patterns that are orthogonal to one another over time and / or frequency. The transmitter may transmit the same resource block but different DMRS patterns simultaneously. If the receiver is mounted with two antennas, the receiver may use a MIMO receiver to distinguish resource blocks from the two transmitters.
