Abstract  Abstract

Techniques for forming a signal for transmission to a receiver are described. The two transmitters may form a resource block having a different physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) demodulation reference signal (DMRS) pattern orthogonal to one another in time and / or frequency. The transmitter is able to transmit different DMRS patterns simultaneously, although it is the same resource block. If the receiver is equipped with two antennas, the receiver can use a MIMO receiver to distinguish the resource blocks from the two transmitters.
