Abstract
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method that reduce overheads (time/frequency resources) in transmission/reception of system information in a wireless communication system.
SOLUTION: A method for user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system includes a step of receiving periodically broadcast first system information (SI) from a base station (BS), the first SI including first information for indicating whether or not second SI including information not included in the first SI is broadcast and second information on a PRACH resource. The step of receiving the first SI includes: a step of transmitting, to the base station (BS), a PRACH preamble using the PRACH resource for requesting the second SI on the basis of the first information indicating that the second SI is not broadcast; and a step of receiving, from the base station (BS), the second SI requested on the basis of the PRACH preamble.
