Abstract  Abstract

A number of embodiments that provide an architecture for WebRTC for accessing an Internet Protocol (IP) Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) are generally described herein. In some embodiments, a non-IMS user equipment (UE) is provided with an application signal interworking function (ASIF) co-located with the non-IMS UE. The non-IMS UE is configured to send a registration message to the ASIF to register the non-IMS UE with the IMS core. The ASIF is configured to convert a registration message from a non-IMSUE into an IMS base signal and register the non-IMSUE with the IMS core using the registration message converted into an IMS base signal.
