Abstract  Abstract

The utility model claims a wireless transmitting/receiving unit (WTRU) for radio link synchronization and power control wherein the WTRU transmits random access channel (RACH) lead code and receives index of acquiring indicator and enhanced special channel (E-DCH) resource responding the RACH lead code through an acquiring indicator channel (AICH); the WTRU confirms the starting of the E-DCH; F-DPCH timing offset is defined by one of the RACH access time slot and AICH access time slot carrying with the acquiring indicator; corresponding F-DPCH timing offset can be transmitted to the WTRU by signal; the WTRU can confirm the starting of the E-DCH frame according to the F-DPCH timing offset and the timing of the AICH access time slot with the acquiring indicator. WTRU can transmit special physical control channel (DPCCH) power control lead code before transmitting E-DCH.
