Abstract
A base station and a terminal in a communication system and a method performed by the base station and the terminal are provided, wherein the method performed by the terminal in the communication system comprises the following steps: receiving a system information fast SIB on a downlink frequency band from a base station, the SIB including configuration information of a first frequency band for uplink transmission and a second frequency band for uplink transmission; identifying random access information based on the SIB; transmitting a random access preamble on the first frequency band or on the second frequency band to the base station based on the random access information; receiving downlink control information, DCI, from the base station, the DCI including an indicator indicating an uplink transmission on the first frequency band or an uplink transmission on the second frequency band; and transmitting data on the first frequency band or on a second frequency band to the base station based on the indicator.
