Abstract  Abstract

The application relates to a method and device for detecting a paging message, and described embodiments generally relate to reliably delivery of a paging message in a wireless network environment. Toavoid unacceptable delay of delivery of a paging message to UE, the number of paging opportunities that occur in a paging period can be increased. The UE can access a lookup table indicating paging opportunities of the paging period. The paging opportunities can correspond to subframes of paging frames including the paging message. The UE subsequently can detect the paging message in the corresponding subframes of the paging frames corresponding to the paging opportunities. Other embodiments can be described and claimed.
