Abstract  Abstract

The invention claims method and equipment of synchronous terminal state in general access network in wireless communication field it ensures that GAN network can correctly know about context information of terminal in related state. In the invention terminal reports circuit domain and grouping domain state information for network side device of GAN; the network side equipment processes the terminal according to received circuit domain and grouping domain state information. The terminal can report circuit domain and grouping domain state information in GAN mode for GANC after reestablishing connection with GAN. The terminal can report circuit domain and grouping domain state information in GERAN/UTRAN mode for GANC in registering flow. The terminal can also initiate register updating flow when circuit domain or grouping domain state in GERAN/UTRAN mode is changed.
