Abstract  Abstract

The embodiments of the present invention provide a method an apparatus and a system for call handover and process the method for call handover includes: sending an ADD.Req message to a media gateway wherein the ADD.Req message carries TDM type endpoint information and codec information corresponding to the TDM type and IP type endpoint information and codec information corresponding to the IP type; receiving an ADD.Reply message that indicates the media gateway establishes successfully the TDM endpoint and the IP endpoint sending an target base station controller BSC a Handover Request message carrying the circuit identifier code information element and the IP type endpoint information; receiving a Handover Request Acknowledge message carrying the TDM type endpoint information or the IP type endpoint information replied from the target BSC. The embodiments of the present invention can avoid the call failure event caused by the mismatch of the TDM endpoint individually assigned by the object BSC and a core network thus the call success rate is improved.
