Abstract
A cell reselection method and apparatus comprise: after a terminal is residing in a target cell performing the cell reselection based on the user priority parameters which is received by the terminal from the source cell before obtaining the user priority parameters distributed by the target cell. Because the embodiment of the present invention utilizes performing the priority cell reselection based on the user priority parameters distributed by the source cell before obtaining the user priority parameters distributed by the target cell thereby enables the corresponding priority cell reselection procedure to choose more appropriate priority parameters accurately and further enables the corresponding priority cell reselection procedure to choose the desired residence cell for the user.
