Abstract  Abstract

FIELD: information technology. ^ SUBSTANCE: wireless transmission/receive unit (WTRU) contains universal subscriber identification module (USIM) for identification of closed subscriber group (CSG) cell. WTRU receives radio transmission from the cell including cell identifier (ID). If cell ID is associated with cell CSG then WTRU determines if this CSG ID programmed in USIM. Cell radio transmission can include one-bit information element (IE) indicating that this cell is CSG-cell. If cell ID is CSG ID the cell ID can additionally include multiple passwords which specify at least one of the following: country region carrier and home enhanced node B (HeNB) number. Cell radio transmission can additionally include bit indicating if CSG-cell is public or private. Cell radio transmission can additionally include bit indicating that emergency calls are permitted from all users. ^ EFFECT: optimisation of radio resources utilisation. ^ 16 cl 6 dwg
