Abstract
Provided are a method and apparatus for performing inter-user equipment transfer (IUT) over an Internet Protocol (IP) based network. According to this scheme, it is possible to prepare for, execute, and complete data transfer at the target device through registration with a Local Mobility Anchor (LMA) and receipt of an IUT request. The target device receives and stores the IP address or the source device. The IP address is used to send session information.
