Abstract  Abstract

A channel content change notification and channel redetection method, wherein the base station determines that a change in loading contents of a deployed multimedia broadcast multicast service (MBMS) point to multipoint control channel (MCCH) has occurred, Sending a loading content change notification of the MCCH to a terminal through a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH); After receiving the notification on the PDCCH, the terminal includes re-detecting the MCCH based on the notification. The present invention also discloses a channel re-detection system and apparatus. By adopting the present invention, the UE knows whether a change in the contents of the MCCH has occurred and does not need to redetect the MCCH periodically.
