The invention embodiment claims a method for channel content change notification and channel redetection the method is as follows: a base station determines change of bearing content of configured multimedia broadcast multicast service (MBMS) point-to-multipoint control channel (MCCH) transmits a notification of change of bearing content of the MCCH to a terminal via a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH); after the PDCCH receives the notification the terminal redetects MCCH according to the notification. The invention embodiment further claims a channel redetection system and device. The terminal can know whether bearing content of the MCCH is changed by using the invention redetect the MCCH while the MCCH is changed without periodical redetection for MCCH which saves terminal resource.
