Abstract
The communication apparatus provides a service to a communication device. The communication apparatus is communicatively coupled to a private base station for communicating with a communication device authorized to use the private base station, and at least one of an IP multimedia subsystem (IMS) network and a circuit switched (CS) network. A gateway for providing access to another communication network. The private base station is configured to select a route for providing a service to the communication device via the private base station and the gateway, wherein the selected route is one of a route between the communication device and the IMS network and a route between the communication device and the at least one other communication network. One. The private base station is configured to select a route based on the service to be provided.
