Abstract  Abstract

A reverse data processing method of a terminal which performs a discontinuous receiving action in a mobile communication system and a device thereof are provided to enable the connected terminal to variably set an active state in accordance with generation of reverse data, thereby efficiently controlling power consumption. As reverse data is generated, a discontinuous receiving action is interrupted, and the reverse data is transmitted(305,310). Depending on whether final data of the transmitted reverse data induces reception of forward data, discontinuous reception is resumed at a predetermined point of time(315-350). The data which induces the reception of the forward data refers to RLC(Radio Link Control) AM(Acknowledged Mode) data.
