Abstract  Abstract

PURPOSE: A method for retransmitting uplink data in a CDMA communication system is provided to distribute an HARQ(Hybrid Automatic Retransmission Request)-related function to a node and an RNC, depending on whether a UE exists in a soft handover area or a non-soft handover area, thereby stably retransmitting reverse data. CONSTITUTION: A UE(501) exists in a cell where the first node B(502) supplies a service(510), and transmits EUDCH(Enhanced Uplink Dedicated Channel) data to the first node B(502)(511). The first node B(502) transmits ACK(Acknowledgement)/NACK(Non Ack) information(512) to the UE(501), and transmits the EUDCH data to an RNC(504) through an uplink data frame(513). If the UE(501) moves to a soft handover area(520), the UE(501) transmits the EUDCH data while performing a handover process at an activation point(521). If an error is generated from the EUDCH data, the NACK information only is transmitted to the RNC(504)(522,523). The RNC(504) receives the ACK/NACK information, determines ACK/NACK information by corresponding to the received ACK/NACK information, and transmits the determined information to the first node B(502) and the second node B(503)(524). The first node B(502) determines final ACK/NACK information to transmit the final information to the UE(501)(525). The second node B(503) determines final ACK/NACK information to transmit the final information to the UE(501)(526).
