Abstract  Abstract

A system and method is disclosed for causing a WTRU to operate using multiple schedulers. The WTRU may exchange data with the network via two or more data paths such that each data path utilizes an air interface connected to another network node and each node may be associated with an independent scheduler. For example, the WTRU may establish an RRC connection between the WTRU and the network. The RRC connection may establish a first air interface between the first serving site of the network and the WTRU and establish a second air interface between the second serving site of the network and the WTRU. An RRC connection is established between the WTRU and the MeNB and a control function can be established between the WTRU and the SCeNB. The WTRU may receive data from the network via the first wireless interface or the second wireless interface.
