Abstract  Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To disclose a method and a device for sounding reference signal (SRS) power control for a wireless transmission/reception unit (WTRU).

SOLUTION: Methods and devices of the invention include a method and a device for carrier specific and carrier common SRS power control in a WTRU using a carrier aggregation technique. The methods and the devices include a method and a device for SRS power control in the WTRU using both of the carrier aggregation technique and a time division multiplexing (TDM) technique. Furthermore the methods and the devices include a method and a device for SRS power control for the WTRU using multiple input multiple output (MIMO) operation. The invention also discloses a method and a device for SRS overhead reduction and power management in the WTRU.
