Abstract  Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and system for supporting multiple hybrid automatic repeat request (H-ARQ) processes per transmission time interval (TTI).

SOLUTION: A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) that receives multiple transport blocks (TBs) includes a receiver a processor and a transmitter. The receiver receives control information for each of the multiple TBs and uses the control information to receive the multiple TBs. The processor processes the multiple TBs generates a feedback message including a channel quality indicator (CQI) and indicating successful or unsuccessful receipt of each of the multiple TBs determines whether to include a cyclic redundancy check (CRC) in the feedback message and selects an encoding system for the feedback message based on statistics of the feedback message. The transmitter transmits the generated feedback message.
