Abstract  Abstract

An object of the present invention is to reduce the amount of signaling in a wireless communication system and reduce the signaling capacity required for a detach operation in the wireless communication system. A device can wirelessly communicate with other devices in a wireless communication system, and receives setting information defining a detach setting. By using the detach setting, the device can perform an implicit detach operation autonomously so as to break the communication link between the device and the other device. When the detach operation is in the explicit detach mode, the device may transmit an instruction signal indicating the detach operation. The indication signal transmitted by the device may comprise a DETACH REQUEST message. It is desirable that the device retains setting information, retains program information, and executes a detach operation using the retained program information and the retained setting information.
