PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for inter-user equipment transfer (IUT) access transfer (AT) and fallback of an IMS session initiated by a service centralization and continuity application server (SCC AS).

SOLUTION: An SCC AS for initiation of inter-user equipment transfer (IUT) of an IMS media session comprises: a receiver configured to receive information from a report function which includes availability information capability information or preference information of a first wireless transmitting/receiving unit (WTRU) being IMS-capable; a processor configured to evaluate the received information and determine initiation of IUT of an IMS media session from the first WTRU to a second WTRU by using the evaluated information; and a transmitter configured to transmit an IUT request to the second WTRU to initiate IUT of the IMS media session to the second WTRU.
