Abstract
A method for physical layer random access in a broadband TDD mobile communication system is disclosed. The method includes receiving a system broadcast message of a cell and obtaining frequency band setting information in the frequency domain in the cells UpPTS time slot, wherein the terminal is in accordance with the frequency band setting information in the UpPTS time slot. A random access sequence is transmitted to the BS in the UpPTS time slot. The frequency band setting information in the frequency domain in the UpPTS time slot includes information on the number of frequency bands obtained by dividing the total bandwidth used in the UpPTS time slot, information on the bandwidth size of each frequency band, and frequency Information about the position of the point. The method, apparatus, and terminal for physical layer random access in a wideband time division duplex mobile communication system provided by the present invention can use frequency bands with different time slots to perform network access, Thereby, the probability of contention and collision when transmitting a random access sequence can be lowered, and an efficient random access procedure can be realized.
