Abstract
The invention concerns a method for providing multicast (MC) and/or broadcasting services of a mobile radio communication network comprising a central network. Said method comprises at least the following steps: a) transmitting multicast and/or broadcasting data of a multicast service (MC) and/or configured broadcast activated by at least a mobile communication unit (MS) from a source MC to the mobile communication unit(s) via at least a communication node (SGSN) provided in the central network using a context specific to the service (MC Context) stored in said communication node (SGSN); b) controlling and monitoring the multicast data transmission to the mobile communication unit(s) by the node(s) provided in the central network using a context exactly specific to the mobile communication unit(s) concerning the activated multicast service and stored in the communication node; c) and/or broadcasting broadcast data of the configured broadcasting service in a specific zone. The invention further concerns a corresponding mobile communication network.

The invention further concerns a corresponding mobile communication network.
