In an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) system a transmitter and/or receiver transmits separate data streams on the orthogonal spatial channels. each spatial channel can use the same set of OFDM subcarriers and can utilize the multipath characteristics of the spatial channel to transmit the additional data without an increase in frequency bandwidth. spatial frequency subcarrier modulation assignments may be based on each sub-carrier dynamically allocation can also be based on dynamically allocated to each spatial channel to help maximize channel data carrying capacity. In some embodiments each spatial channel can be connected with one of a plurality of spatially diverse antennas are associated.
