Abstract  Abstract

The invention claims a method used for processing incidental response/non-response (PAN) field and device thereof the PAN field is included in the data block to indicate a mobile station and a network for supporting a unidirectional transmission of the temporary connection for a particular temporary block flow (TBF) as an acknowledgement (ACK) or non-acknowledgement (NACK) the TBF the method comprises the following steps: receiving a PAN field and a PAN check sequence (PCS) is a bit of data block decoding the PAN field and the PCS to the code bit based on the PAN field and the PCS to the encoded bitstream for decoding during a soft metric to estimate channel quality and accepting the PAN field and the PCS channel based on the estimated link quality.
