Abstract
Apparatuses methods and a system are disclosed for paging a remote unit that has a direct mobile connection to a relay unit. One apparatus includes a processor (305) a first transceiver (325) that communicates with a mobile network and a second transceiver (330) that communicates with a remote unit (105) via a direct mobile connection. The processor (305) transmits a multicast address to the remote unit (105) via the direct mobile connection. The processor (305) determines to page the remote unit (105) based on signaling from the mobile network. The processor (305) also transmits a paging message for the remote unit (105) to the multicast address.
