Abstract  Abstract

A channel estimating method includes: acquiring the number of transmitting antenna ports and the layer number of Demodulation Reference Signals (DMRS) transmitted currently when it is confirmed that inband Sounding Reference Signals (SRS) need to be transmitted (101); calculating the difference of the number of the transmitting antenna ports and the layer number of the DMRS transmitted currently and setting the difference to be the number of the inband SRS which need to be transmitted (102); transmitting the inband SRS to a receiving end device according to the number of the inband SRS which need to be transmitted so that the receiving end device can perform channel estimation according to the DMRS transmitted currently and the received inband SRS (103). A channel estimating method includes: receiving the inband SRS transmitted from a transmitting end device wherein the number of the inband SRS is the difference of the number of the transmitting antenna ports of the transmitting end device and the layer number of the DMRS transmitted currently; performing the channel estimation according to the received inband SRS and the DMRS transmitted currently. The transmitting end device the receiving end device and a communication system are also provided.
