The embodiments of the present invention disclose a method for configuring a proportion of an uplink sub-frame and a downlink sub-frame in the field of wireless communications. The method comprises: configuring by a system the proportion of the uplink sub-frame and the downlink sub-frame according to requirements; wherein the configuration is a mixed configuration of at least two kinds of the first proportions of the uplink sub-frame and the downlink sub-frame. The embodiments are designed to allocate the uplink and downlink resources reasonably so as to avoid a waste of the resources. Meanwhile the embodiments of the present invention further provide a method and a device for performing data transmission by employing the configured proportion of the uplink sub-frame and the downlink sub-frame.
