Abstract  Abstract

A wireless transmit receive unit (WTRU) is configured to operate in an high speed data packet access (HSDPA) mode in a cell and/or state and to clear HSDPA resources when moving out of the cell and/or state. The WTRU is configured to clear HSDPA resources when conditions to perform high speed downlink shared channel reception are not met. In particular a new variable called HS_DSCH_RESEPTION_GENERAL is set to FALSE if a new cell following a cell reselection or a new state following a state transition does not support HS_DSCH_ reception. Stop HS_SCCH reception. Stop HS-DSCH reception. Clear RNTI. Reset MAC_hs. Release HARQ resoursces. Set HS_DSCH_RESEPTION_GENERAL to TRUE if HS_DSCH is ongoing. Cell_FACH Cell_PCH URA_PCH and Cell_DCH.
