The present invention discloses a method of handling the location information request initiated by UE. The method includes: target UE requests a CN for location information, then CN obtains the positioning result of the target UE; CN sends the target UE positioning result to the V-GMLC of the target UE. According to the invention, when the target UE requests the network that includes LCS system for its own location information, after obtaining the target UE positioning result which determined by the RAN, CN firstly provides V-GMLC with the positioning result of the target UE; after V-GMLC has finished processing the location request, CN then provides the positioning result to the target UE via the CN, therefore, enabling the V-GMLC to obtain the process information of location information request that initiated by target UE, thereby ena+ing V-GMLC to correctly charge the MO-LR request that initiated by target UE.
