Abstract
Methods and devices for demodulating NR-PBCH are disclosed. The method may include receiving a master SS and an SSS. The received SSS signal can be used as a reference signal to detect the demodulation reference signal DMRS of the NR-PBCH. These demodulation reference signals can be interleaved with the data on the NR-PBCH. In one approach, the NR-PBCH DMRS is associated with an SSB index in an effort to improve randomization during synchronization. PSS and / or SSS and DMRS can be used to demodulate the NR-PBCH payload. In one embodiment, the NR-PBCH DMRS may be mapped to the DMRS RE based on frequency mapping first and time mapping first.
