Abstract  Abstract

1. A method of receiving a scheduling request in a mobile communication system, comprising the steps of: transmitting information related to scheduling request (SR) transmission resources to a user equipment (UE); receiving an SR from a UE; wherein, for a received SR, UE checks if at least one buffer status report (BSR) is triggered and canceled, and SR is received if at least one BSR is triggered and not canceled. 2. The method of claim 1, wherein the at least one BSR is a regular BSR, wherein the SR is received if at least one regular BSR is triggered and not canceled. The method of claim 1, further comprising receiving a medium access control packet data unit (MAC PDU) unit including at least one BSR from the UE, wherein the SR is not received if the MAC PDU is received. The method of claim 2, wherein the regular BSR is triggered if data becomes available for high priority uplink transmission. The method of claim 1, wherein the random access procedure is started if the number of SR transmissions by the UE reaches the maximum number of SR transmissions. The method of claim 1, wherein the SR is not received if the random access procedure is started prior to receiving the SR. The method of claim 1, wherein uplink resources are released if the number of SR transmissions from the UE reaches a maximum amount. The method of claim 7, wherein the number of SR transmissions from the UE is set to zero (0) if the SR is triggered and there is no other SR waiting to be processed. The method of claim 1, wherein in each transmission time interval (TTI), a check is made to see if the BSR is canceled. Device for receiving scheduling request in mob
