Abstract
Apparatus, methods, and systems are disclosed for establishing data paths through a plurality of access networks for a multiple access data connection. One device 400 includes a transceiver 425 and a processor 405 that communicate with one or more network functions in a mobile communication network. The processor 405 receives the first session management request through the AMF. wherein the first session management request includes a second session management request transmitted by a remote unit that communicates with the mobile communication network through the first access network and the second access network, and the second session management request includes the second access network is transmitted through The processor 405 sends to the access management function a first request to establish a first data path for the multiple access data connection through the first access network, and the second data for the multiple access data connection through the second access network. Send a second request to establish the route to the access management function. Here, both the first data path and the second data path are anchored in a common user plane network function in the mobile communication network.
