Abstract
A method and apparatus for demodulating an NR-PBCH signal is disclosed. The method may include receiving a primary SS and an SSS. The received SSS signal can be used as a reference signal for detecting a demodulation reference signal of the NR-PBCH. These demodulation reference signals may be interleaved with data of the NR-PBCH. In one method, NR-PBCH DMRS is associated with the SSB index in an effort to improve randomization in the synchronization process. The NR-PBCH payload may be demodulated using PSS and / or SSS and DMRS. In one embodiment, NR-PBCH DMRS may be mapped to DMRS RE based on frequency first and time second mapping.
